Where to find ressources
Excerpt from my sketchbook
… certainly varies from artist to artist. I draw inspiration from my surroundings just as much as from my own creative process.
In my sketchbooks, I can explore both possibilities at the same time. Here, I can capture impressions of the outside world and find a language for them. When I focus entirely on the process from the very beginning, I interpret what has emerged during the act of creating and respond to the image to develop it further. These different approaches stem entirely from sketchbook work.
Furthermore, the art historian in me is constantly seeking knowledge about other artists. Engaging with the art created by generations before us, as well as contemporary art, constantly opens up new perspectives for me, and it’s worth keeping my eyes open.
